Hudson Tubes Gateway A
short history and a sightseeing tour of the Hudson Tubes
(Hudson & Manhattan Railroad), one of the earliest
subways of the world, along with an image gallery of the
Tubes, past and present. Since I originally wrote
this as an article for the German magazine Blickpunkt
Straßenbahn, there is both an English and a German
version available.
Although the Tubes are now called "PATH" and
are operated by the Port Authority of New York and New
Jersey, their basic structure remains as it was upon their
opening. I'm still working on the Tubes Gallery and am
slowly also updating the text. So stop in once in a while
for changes.
There is also a section
updated daily on the changes to the Tubes as a result of
the Islamic terrorist attack on New York.

Although the site does cover "Hochkultur"
of literature and art, it also deals with German
language tabloids, web radio stations, music, tourism,

Yahoo group allows members of my extended family to post
family pictures for other relatives to view. You can post
your family pictures into either the general default album
