Public (Finally) Offered PATH Downtown Station Input

 NJ-ARP Hotline #470 Tuesday, June 8, 2004

With the table set -- set the way the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PA) likes it -- public input is now being sought for the DEIS of PATH's lower Manhattan (World Trade Center) station.

Two hearings soliciting public comments on DEIS will take place on 2 dates: Tuesday, June 22, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Jersey City's City Hall, Council Chambers, 280 Grove Street; and in New York Wednesday, June 23, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. John's University, Manhattan Campus, 101 Murray Street.

Director Albert L. Papp will head up the NJ-ARP team asking (once more) for consideration of PATH/Lex, which offers true throughput tying New Jersey urban areas to Manhattan's East Side, and complementing ARC (see story above).

Comments can also be submitted by mail to: WTC PATH Terminal The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey 115 Broadway, 5th Floor New York, NY 10006 The draft DEIS is available for viewing at http://www.pathrestoration.com, and is also available for inspection (not acquisition) at the following locations:
