Public (Finally) Offered PATH Downtown Station Input

 NJ-ARP Hotline #470 Tuesday, June 8, 2004

With the table set -- set the way the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PA) likes it -- public input is now being sought for the DEIS of PATH's lower Manhattan (World Trade Center) station.

Two hearings soliciting public comments on DEIS will take place on 2 dates: Tuesday, June 22, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Jersey City's City Hall, Council Chambers, 280 Grove Street; and in New York Wednesday, June 23, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. John's University, Manhattan Campus, 101 Murray Street.

Director Albert L. Papp will head up the NJ-ARP team asking (once more) for consideration of PATH/Lex, which offers true throughput tying New Jersey urban areas to Manhattan's East Side, and complementing ARC (see story above).

Comments can also be submitted by mail to: WTC PATH Terminal The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey 115 Broadway, 5th Floor New York, NY 10006 The draft DEIS is available for viewing at, and is also available for inspection (not acquisition) at the following locations:
